Shopping Is a Mixed-Use Affair in Downtown DC
Downtown DC is squeezed into an area just south of the DuPont Circle neighborhood and directly north of the White House and the Federal Triangle. Traditionally the downtown district has included the neighborhoods of Penn Quarter, Mount Vernon Square, Chinatown, and Judiciary Square, though recently the boundaries have been expanded to include the Federal Triangle and the Foggy Bottom, West End, Logan Circle, and lower part of the Dupont Circle neighborhoods.
